Puzzled
I have always been puzzled by something.
Everytime when I take cab, some taxi drivers will complain to me that e no of passengers taking cab r getting lesser n lesser. When I am at Suntec or Marina, no cab would want to come, regardless how long u wait for it. When I got so fed up of waiting n decided to call for cab, the cab would suddenly pop up from no where in less than 5 mins if I call for cab. Weird right?
Whenever I pass by the flyover bridge going towards ECP, I could see empty cabs there. Quite a few! It makes me wonder if they r waiting for on call passengers or wat?
Or when I hail cabs from e roadside, no cab would want to stop. One by one would drive beside me! Only when I start cursing after like half an hr, there will be one cab.
If there are passengers waiting for cabs, taxi drivers could still earn money, if they dont be so choosy. Then they should not say tat the increase in taxi fare will affect them. Cause they r e one affecting their own income. If they only want to earn those who on call cab or drive those who go further, they could only earn a small amount. One short distance could earn them a plate of decent meal.
If only those taxi drivers could understand tat?! I wonder.
