E day e side of my spectacles came loose
On thur, I was on off cause I worked late on fri and sat.. E side of my spectacles decided to come off on e day when I was washing it in e morning.
After meeting baby at Hong Lim market for e vegetarian beehoon, I took bus all e way to Parkway. Went to my usual shop n he told me tat e sides were spoilt n needed to change e sides n quoted me $75 for it.
Went to e second shop n checked. The lady told me tat she didnt have e stock n it was spoilt.
Being an auntie me, I called up my landlord Serene n asked her where the neighbour's shop is. I walked all e way to Katong Shopping Centre in e hot sun. I finally found e shop after calling Serene 2 - 3 times to confirm on e shop. E lady in e shop told me e same story n charged me $65 for new side n abt $150 - $160 for a new pair of spectacles.
I went hm without doing my spectacles. I waited for Serene n she told me tat we would go to e neighour's house tat nite to ask her.
I was lucky tat I waited cause e neighbour took my spectacles to repair. She only took abt 5 - 10 mins and repaired my spectacles for me. She said tat e screw was loose n would give me e small screwdriver e next time she come to e house.
Luckily I perserved on cause I would have wasted money for buying new sides for $65 n $55 for contact lenses. I only left with one pair of contact lenses. In e end, I saved money. I did not have to spend any cent bfore getting my spectacles repaired.
As wat my colleague said, they r trying to earn money from me cause if they just repair, they will not earn any money from me. Though I agree with her, however I will not patronise their shops again. They r so dishonest.
