Bangkok Trip 1 - 5 July '10

After 3 yrs, I finally went to Bangkok - The land of smiles on 1 - 5 July '10 again! I was so happy and was waiting so impatiently for this trip. Bangkok has always left a good impression on me after e last trip in 2007.

I was working on thu and had to rush to the airport as the flight was at 8.40pm. Took a mrt down to Changi Airport as the queue for taxi at my office there was long and I do not wish to pay extra for surcharges. The train trip took less than 45 minutes to reach. First time, I felt tat Spore transportation was gd! :)

Reached Bangkok at 10 plus and it was raining when we were on the cab to e hotel, All Seasons Bangkok, previously known as IBIS Siam. The hotel rm was big but the toilet is small. I loved their aircon, makes you feel like u r in a cold palace. Throughout the five days, we were watching cartoons on their tv.

Had over 99 chanels on tv and they have soccer channel on e tv too. Gave him his 6 bd presents and he only liked 4 out of the 6. Hope tat he would use them. However, he drank up the 6 bottles of bird nest which I gave to him as bd present when we were there.

After tat, we walked out with a huge umbrella borrowed from e hotel to search for our usual supper but it is no longer there. Had something else instead.

As it was still raining heavily on friday, we had to postpone the trip to the temple.

We went to have our late lunch at one of the restaurant at Siam Discovery. The picture below is the tempura prawn tat I liked. Crispy and nice.. Yummy :)

One of the shop has an interesting fish tank. It is in a sink and you could touch the fish. The head of the fish is soft..

We went shopping and stopped by to have milk. Their slogan was Milk makes you happy! However, too much milk gives me stomach. Cause my dear da yi-ma decided to visit me on the day I was flying. sian..

Celebrated his birthday at Baan Khanitha Thai Cuisine. This is their address: 36/1 Soi Sukhumvit 23, Sukhumvit Rd., Bangkok 10110.

If you have a chance, try eating at their restaurant. Though it is quite exp but their food and service are good..

Ordered a birthday cake and gave him a surprise. Before the staff brought out the cake, they switched off the lights and sang birthday song for him.

The fruit platter that the restaurant gave to us.. So nice of them :)

Sat and Sun - Chatuchak market from morning till night.. Bought quite a few things there. As he has said, I could not buy anything if I didnt perspire. haha Bought a small bed and t-shirt for Cotton there as it was cheap.

Shopping Centres we went:

1) MBK - He bought hp case

2) Platinum Market - Bought a blouse

3) Pratuman Market - Bought nothing and was caught in the rain

4) Big C which is near Chatuchak market to stock up my daily necesarities.. Cheap there mah..

After this trip, I realised tat e ppl has become not so friendly. Is it me or have the people changed after so many years? Nevertheless, I have enjoyed my trip there and hope tat I can go there again, perhaps end of the year..

Anyway, Happy Belated Birthday again.. Hope tat u like the presents tat I have given you and u have enjoyed urself :)
